You can text into your municipality’s 10-digit TextMyGov number to find information. Responses will be customized to meet residents’ needs in your area. Notifications from the municipality can also be sent directly to residents’ phones.

Community members can text a number assigned to their municipality and report issues such as potholes, downed trees, vandalism, code violations, broken equipment, and more. Text REPORT to your municipality's number to see what reporting options you have.

No. TextMyGov is a cloud-based software. Community members simply text the city from their cell phones and municipalities can manage the system from any device with internet access.

If your municipality has a 5-digit TextMyGov number, you can text the notification keyword to the number to opt in. The system will ask you to reply YES. Once you have, you are opted-in. Visit your municipality's website to find their keyword and number.

If you are trying to text your municipality's 10-digit number and it is not working, you may have accidentally become blocked. Contact your municipality to be unblocked. 

If you are trying to text your municipality's 5-digit number and it is not working, this is because the 5-digit number is for one-way texting. You can text STOP to opt out of notifications. No other messages will be received by your municipality.
