You can text your municipality’s 10-digit TextMyGov number to find information. Responses will be customized to meet residents’ needs in your area. Notifications from the municipality can also be sent directly to residents’ phones using the 5-digit number.

Community members can text a number assigned to their municipality and report issues such as potholes, downed trees, vandalism, code violations, broken equipment, and more. Text REPORT to your municipality's number to see your reporting options.

No. TextMyGov is a cloud-based software. Community members simply text the city from their cell phones, while local government staff can manage the system from any device, anywhere with internet access.

If your municipality has a 5-digit TextMyGov number, you can text the notification keyword to the number to opt in. The system will ask you to reply YES. Once you have, you are opted-in. Visit your municipality's website to find their keyword and number. Reply STOP at any time to opt out.

If you are trying to text your municipality's 10-digit number and it is not working, you may have accidentally become blocked. Contact your municipality to be unblocked. 

If you are trying to text your municipality's 5-digit number and it is not working, it is because that number is for one-way texting. You can text STOP to opt out of notifications.

If you are a community resident, please contact your municipality or organization directly. The TextMyGov Support team cannot assist with local issues; they can only direct you to your municipality.
